Connected provides users with a number of ways to manage their contacts. The application allows the user to centralize all of their contacts and conversations taken from social networks, email, phone and calendar entries. Connected automatically updates the user’s contacts to ensure that they have the most recent email address, location details, title information or company name. The user can also integrate Connected with social networks to view status updates, blog posts, photos and work history. Users can add a tag, note or mention how they met the contact. Search feature are included so the user can find results by location, title, company and more. Custom notification reminders can be set to remind the user to send a message to a contact. Through Connected, the user can also see which social networks, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, which their contact is a member of. Agenda emails can also be created to keep the user updated daily on current happenings.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Connected was founded in 2010 by Sachin Rekhi. Today, Rekhi is the current company CEO. The application was intended to provide a valuable contact management service that went beyond simply storing information to enhancing the way the user managed their relationships with those on their contact list.

Connected has added a number of features that enable the user to stay aware of recent events and related details for each contact. The user’s contact list is automatically updated by Connected and they can see items taken from social network profiles and other resources. The Connected website uses a very sleek, professional design that works well for individuals and professionals. The logo features the site name in white with gold arrows and one white arrow pointing to the same area. The application uses color icons and avatars that help the user sort through the details and information provided for each contact.

How does the registration process work?

New users can join the Connected community by clicking the orange and white “Get Started Now” button found at the bottom, center of the homepage. The user can sign up for a 14 day free trial which does not require a credit card number. A small blue “Sign Up” box to the right on the following page asks for an email address and password. A check box is automatically selected to confirm the user’s agreement with the Connected terms of use. After submitting the information, the user is instantly taken to their Connected dashboard where they can begin adding accounts and managing contacts.

What does it cost to use the application?

After the 14 day free trial period is up, the user will have to purchase a paid membership to continue accessing Connected. The paid plan costs around $10 per month and includes all the current features offered by the application. Users can purchase their subscription with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express card. Users cannot receive a refund for a subscription but can cancel at any time.
